""Hyderabad international airport is well-maintained.
There were duty free shops, restaurants, call phones and
internet facility. The security check in was more than alright
but Hyderabad needs a bigger airport. There was lot of commotion
and the staff was unable to cope up with the burgeoning number
of passengers. The waiting section was atrocious and if anyone
is gonna come to send you of they just have to stand and are not
allowed to even enter inside. The parking and traffic management
outside the airport was atrocious. Recently on 25/03/2006,I
arrived back from Frankfurt to Hyderabad. I was coming from
Miami and what a seachange. India is third world and it took me
almost an hour to get my baggage. Luckily I didn't have much
problem, and the customs staff were more than helpful. There was
chaos, no queue and the staff could not carry their job in an
organised way. They were having communication problem and the
signboards were not at all helpful. The arrival section is not
well maintained and lot of construction activity was going on. I
had to bribe the porter for carrying my luggage to outside. That's
the best thing in India. You give workers dollars and your life
becomes much more easy. This place needs a bigger airport and
better facilities. The luggage trolleys were cheap and the staff
were neither friendly nor hostile. Toilets are clean bu you need
to get your toilet paper and sanitizer. Hope the new upcoming
international airport would be good but Hyderabad an important
city in India needs a better airport."
