"Spent one night here. I understand that the airport has been redeveloped so I won't comment on that. But, do not walk off of the airport grounds here. I walked with another Brazilian offsite just to find some food... we had to turn around after two blocks when we found obvious thieves trailing us... we even had a fellow yell and put a knife into a pole after we had made sufficient progress back to the airport and were within a safe range. Times change, but as always, have common sense and a person won't run into trouble."
