"02.01.2005 - After new years eve, 02.01.2005 we flew from Buenos Aires (EZE) to Cusco. The cheapest ticket included two "bonus stops" in Santa Cruz and in La Paz. To Santa Cruz (Viru Viru International)we arrived 02.01.2005 around 7m, and we took off to La Paz next morning 9am. The airport is far from the city, and we (me and my sister) wanted to save the night-price cab, and the hotel. Viru Viru Int. is an excellent place to stay. At 9pm everything closes, expect a very nice and cheap restaurant. You can eat there only burgers and similar stuffs, but they are good. And you can get BEER!!!! We stayed there about 13-14 hours, and together we had 21 cans of beer. The waiter guy was a friendly young man, he was listening to stupid latin love songs whole night, but that was ok. The staff is friendly and sleepy, we haven't disturbed each other. Nobody is there during the night expect the staff, and it seemed to be safe. So in Santa Cruz, stay a night at Viru Viru's bar/restaurant. Take care all! n"
