"Just passed by this airport again while returning to Rio. They have presented a new boarding area, which is MUCH better than many boarding areas in famous international airports. However the flight announcements are a quite bug mistery: sometimes they make you crazy, but sometimes they simply do not exist, even though they are calling for you to board. The coffee area is ready, after a lenghty reform, they look really fine, but the prices tend to be airport-style: going up and up! There are 3 bookstores, but the best one is placed at the main lobby area, with newspapers from around the globe, as well books and magazines. The best seats are there, but youll get one only if youre lucky enough (they are all taken, always). The airport closes at 23:00, and the guards often tend to send you to the Ibis Hotel, placed right across the (busy) street. For a nap, Congonhas is thumbs up!"
