Worst dawn of my life
Worst place to sleep! I arrived 6 hours ahead from the departure of my flight and try to sleep. I cant do it cause the seats of main lobby are hard, small and cold. Then, this airport is not appropriate for sleep. I took a nap on the tabble of a single open restaurant (the only single open place I mean) inside the airport. And I see no security and no free wi-fi there.

(Contributed by Felipe Barini) - "The airport makes you feel like a match in a matchbox. Like people say in there, if three 737s land there at the same time, there won't be space for everyone. The chairs are plastic-made, with HIGH HIGH HIGH armrests. I've tried to sleep in there, but I wasn't able to move my head for 3 days. If you're expecting any amusement, forget it. Besides being FAR FAR from the civilization, this airport doesn't have even a TV, and the shops shut their doors at 20:00. It was a nightmare or not, cos I couldn't sleep). The worst thing: when people coming from Argentina arrive in there (lots of them), they simply get into the taxi that was there waiting for you, they don't respect the queues and just get it. I hate Argentineans...."

(Contributed by Duck) - "This airport is tiny. The jets that fly in keep there engines running as people exit and enter the plane. Stay out of the secure section because it is tiny and doesn't have a lot of seats. However, the area outside of security is even more crowded and offers less seating. While in the airport I couldn't find a single place to sit down, stretch out and relax. The only nice thing was that the ticketing people were incredibly efficient." Added 01 JAN 04

(Contributed by simon morris) - "I like this airport, it is small, and so long as you travel to Florianopolis outside of peak tourist time, you will have a plesant experience. Staff are friendly and the airport is quaint yes, it is small and does get extremely busy, but as I say, avoid December-February and you are laughing...." Added 31 Dec 05

I've planned a trip to Florianopolis and Blumenau.Due to heavy traffic on airport in Sao Paulo, my flight was late for 4 hours. And when I arrived at Florianopolis, it was already 2am. As there wasn't bus, me and my friend chosen for stay in airport until the sunshine. Well, the place sounds like clean, but the seat is terrible !! If you didn't have another option, that could be a solution ! But try to organize your trip !!" Added 31 Dec 06
