"I've slept a night in Tampa Int'l Airport, in August 2000, and it beats spending 200 US for a room in the airport Marriott, which often fills up. The landside stays open 24 hours, and the terminals are usually open too, but there's no need to possibly get stuck out there. The level connecting to the airsides, 3 i think, is the best level to sleep on - it's pretty dark by the Marriott , dark enough to sleep, and it's away from the exit, so if any riffraff were to come into the port, they'd be spotted before they got to you. You almost have to sleep on the floor - most of the seating has armrests - but you can fall asleep sitting up in one of the seats - they're unbelievably comfortable. All in all, don't bother paying a fortune at the Marriott, nor cabbing out to a fleabag hotel. Just stay put. " |
