| Not bad night at the aero. | | carl3748, 3/3/2010 | We were flying out at 6:45 am to Barcelona, and because of bus and metro timing, we had to spend the night at the airport. It wasn't bad. There were about 10 of us flying to Barcelona, and about 6 flying to Lisbon out of the same terminal, and aside from us, there were a few bums near the vueling check-in area. Though it was empty, we were still able to get through security at about 1am. We had been traveling for about 2 hours by that point (buses, metros, walking) so we got to an area of T4, and all threw our stuff on the floor, and proceeded to have one of the most uncomfortable experiences. The airport is beautiful, very clean, but very cold if you don't have a blanket. Some of my friends got kicked out of an area that had cushioned seating. The benches are pretty horrible for spending the night. if you are able to find benches without armrests, snatch them up because it's hard to sleep curled up around an armrest. nothing in T4 is open until 4 or 5. i went to the mcdonald's there, which was nice, as I am originally from the USA and do not know how to function off of a non-protien spanish breakfast. there are vending machines that have soda, food, and ice cream, but when you're tired, it doesn't help much. Overall, it wasn't too bad of an experience if i wouldn't have been there overnight after a long day of class and rushing to the airport.

- TEMPERATURES: Too Cold. Air-conditioning was too high
- CLEANLINESS: Cleaning staff were respectful of my desire to rest
- OTHER GOOD TO KNOW INFORMATION: Signs at this airport were in several languages - one of which I understood
