"Mehrabad Airport which is almost inside Tehran City is a good place to spend overnight. It's a clean place. Since air travel is extremely cheap in the country many Iranians prefer to travel by air. Also cheap and clean restaurants. At night most of the people sleeps on the floor over newspaper sheets and there is no exception for tourists. And because of the strict rules in Iran, I can say that Airports are the most safe places in the country. I had a perfect sleep there."
